At bike festa, South Tyrolean brand SKINION X® is showcasing functional baselayers that are breathable, moisture-wicking, and temperature regulating, yet also feature effective protection against skin abrasion. Founder Leif Heppner brings a background in medical technology and has spent over two decades developing specialized textiles for sensitive skin.

Longer sliding, fewer abrasions

The base layer from SKINION X® is the first certified apparel proven to decouple friction and shear forces. It achieves this through a specialized mechanical surface engineered for longer sliding and reduced impact energy, providing highly effective skin protection during crashes – whether on tarmac or on the trail. Added to this is a specialized polyethylene fibre that delivers extra cut resistance. And it combines all these features into a material that remains light, airy, and ultra-functional.

Having already established itself in motorsports, ice hockey, and luge – being worn at the Alpine Ski World Cup and the Olympic Games – SKINION X® is now making its way into cycling – and right to the bike festa.
