Sayle Cycle creates a whole new cargo bike category with the Lowtail

The young Bavarian manufacturer Sayle Cycle brings its own, completely original take on modern cargo bike mobility to the Innovation Gallery. You can check out two exciting builds of the Lowtail № at the bike festa: a sporty, purist version built for the city, and a rugged bike designed for real off-road adventures.

One of a kind

A few years ago, industrial designer, bike mechanic, and mechanical engineering technician Marcel Sayle created a bike that refuses to fit into any conventional category: a multifunctional hybrid of a sports bike and a cargo bike with a dynamic, intuitive handling. The small rear wheel gives it a tight wheelbase – the whole cargo bike measures just 220 cm – and quick acceleration, while the low-slung cargo deck behind the saddle acts as a stabilizer – and a split drivetrain is what makes it all possible.

Handmade in Bavaria

You can spot a Sayle Cycle not just by its Lowtail styling and two chains, but by its timeless design too. You will see it in the Sayle № ATB, the lightest and sportiest model in the lineup – a fully off-road-capable bike built for bikepacking trips and long tours.

And the Sayle № ELEKTRIK which is the everyday workhorse: a lightweight cargo bike with agile handling, a discreet Mahle X30 rear motor (45 Nm), and a total weight of just 26 kg.
