Moustache with a new fleet
Smiling Machines for Smiling People
Back in 2011 (when neither the hipster moustache nor the e-bike were trending) Frenchmen Emmanuel Antonot and Greg Sand founded the cycling brand MOUSTACHE. They have remained pioneers to this day – not just when it comes to bikes, which keep sweeping up award after award...
This year, MOUSTACHE turns 15, and that’s not the only reason the French brand will be celebrating at the bike festa. The team is bringing a full lineup of their exceptional bikes to Brixen – along with their famously good spirits and their motto: Smiling Machines for Smiling People.
MOUSTACHE has built its name in the cycling industry on distinctive frame engineering, a strong design identity, and genuine craftsmanship. The brand manufactures as much as possible on home turf, in the Vosges: around 180 Moustachians develop and produce the bikes on three modern production lines across 11,000 m². Making the brand also a big employer in the region.
In 2011, Emmanuel “Manu” Antonot left his job in the cycling industry to launch an e-bike brand – at a time when motorised bicycles were barely on anyone’s radar. He and Greg saw enormous potential in the e-bike early on: provided it looked great, was easy to ride, and delivered real comfort. Today, the portfolio spans 17 product families, and the only non-electrified model is the Mercredi, a children’s balance bike.
MOUSTACHE develops bikes for every kind of use: urban, cargo, leisure, touring, and sport. Among them: the new, sporty Dimanche 28 Urban, featuring a lightweight Bosch Performance Line SX motor, an elegantly integrated 400 Wh battery, and a comfortable suspension fork. Also available to test in Brixen is the Clutch – a powerful, low-maintenance e-MTB with a Pinion motor-gearbox unit and 12 integrated gears, which BIKE magazine described as “the anti-stress pill for e-enduro riders.”
Rounding out the lineup are the Xroad models with derailleur gearing (4 hardtails and 3 full-suspension), versatile all-rounders built for in and out of the city and adventure. And the Dimanche 29 will be a treat for all the gravel riders at bike festa: an agile, fun machine with a high-quality aluminium frame – robust, durable, and recyclable – and a discreetly integrated Bosch motor and battery.
